  • maintenance periodvaries depending on the frequency of use of the astroturf field. This maintenance may be as frequent as once a month in areas with frequent use, and it should be done every 4-6 months in areas with less intense use.
  • How Should Maintenance Be Performed?

Foreign materials such as leaves, cigarette butts, broken glass, broken branches, stones, gravel and chewing gum on the field should be cleaned first. This procedure should be done more frequently on a daily basis.

Artificial turf synthetic yarns need to be brushed at regular intervals to maintain their softness and flexibility. You can also brush with a hard plastic garden brush. In large areas, professional brushing and granulating machines should be used.
  • Do not use crampons with teeth! All athletes on artificial turf must use artificial turf shoes that are suitable for synthetic turf fields. One should not do sports or use the field with crampons or similar sports shoes with metal spikes that will damage the artificial grass carpet. In the process of renting astroturfs for invitations and organizations, care should be taken to ensure that the shoes of those entering and leaving comply with such rules.
  • SBR Granule Control:Granules should be added periodically as much as the amount of SBR granules lost in the field due to various reasons. It is recommended to add granulate as needed once a year. The threads of areas where granules are not added wear out and shorten much more quickly.

It is the most important factor that reduces the life of the carpet!
  • Contact with gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel and similar chemical solvents, corrosive and acidic chemicals on the ground should be prevented and it is absolutely important not to use such materials in cleaning possible stains on the field.
  • Irrigation:In hot weather, watering the ground after sunset is recommended. It prevents the threads from breaking apart by stretching with heat. It also reduces friction on the field, thus creating a more slippery and faster surface.
